Challenge
One of our clients got a significant contract to develop an integrated accounting and management system for research laboratory results, aligning it with the results of University Study Centers worldwide, for a major scientific research foundation.
The specificity of the scientific topics and the size of the project created difficulties for our client. While they had the skills to design the system architecture and coordinate the development team, their company lacked a sufficient number of suitable professionals. After searching the job market, they might have found individuals with the appropriate basic skills, but for this specific project, they would have needed to be trained, resulting in a waste of time and money. The project delivery schedule imposed by the client would not have allowed for additional training.
Solution
At the time when we are contacted by our client, we also lacked the appropriate specific profiles within our organization, but we quickly recruited five developers and a project leader with the appropriate skills, thus forming a task force capable of immediately completing our client’s Italian team.
The project lasted 10 months, with our developers working remotely throughout from our Mumbai office.
Result
The client achieved its goals both technically and financially. The client was able to use the new platform on schedule.
